No. Rehabilitation would be the max punishment I would give him. For example a therapist could help him and perhaps they could discuss in a group about their "feelings" or whatever psychologists discuss.

This man probably had a job. I don't see any reason why he should be locked behind the bars and isolated from the society and double-drain the resources of the society -- he both lost his eventual job and is a burden for the prison system. The real problem seems to be his behaviour problem or attitude or whatever, therefore that should be addressed, if it's in anyway possible.

And what you think is totally irrelevant. The law says the age of consent is 16. Depending on the state, there might even be what are called "Romeo and Juliet exceptions" that say people younger than that can have sex as long as they're within 2 years of each other.

The "age of consent is universally 18" myth comes from Hollywood. It's 18 in California and so it bleeds into popular culture from television and movies. The highest in the US is actually on military bases in foreign countries, where it's 18 or the local age, whichever is higher.

Possibly, I'm certain he won't serve time for it. But this is actually a fair charge. He did do those things clearly, and a trial by jury would be the best way to determine whether his actions were merited.

Do I think he was right to do it? Probably not. Could I see myself doing it in the same situation. Quite possible.
