Why would I buy a console?

Ellder Scrolls Online,Team speak through parties

A handful of MMOs in the past ten years or so is not exactly very good.

Neither console has a party feature as robust as Teamspeak, which is a specific program.

And that still leaves consoles with a massive lack of strategy games, either turn-based or real-time, more or less universal lack of support for modding, and all those other things Divair wrote above. It's also more expensive.

Yeah. Usually PCs are much more expensive. I haven't found a good PC for the same price as a console.

If you insist on buying one whole-hog, then yes, it's probably going to be more expensive. However, not only does it become far cheaper if you simply upgrade your existing PC, but the hardware cost is greatly offset by the game prices.

Games on Steam that support split-screen co-op are almost always tagged as such, and games that support split-screen on console also support it on PC.

You can use the XBox controller with your PC right out of the box.

My pc is on a desk with not a lot of space around it.

My Xbox has a sofa and comfy chair in front of it.

I personally think PS4 is best for gaming but Xbone is best at social media and such. But if you can, get a good pc, nothing beats PC.

You could stream the PC to the TV as well. A switch box would run you probably $5-$10, and (presuming the PC is too far away from the TV for a cable to be viable) I've seen little ~$20 wireless video streaming boxes you can hook up easily to each end.

Too much work, like custom building a gaming pc. Besides, I like some of the console exclusives.

Ditto. The discrepancy in graphics between the two generations of systems aren't as dramatic as advertised anyway. And you can't play GTA V on a PS4 or an Xbox One!

It's too much work to literally hook up three cables (one to PC, one to monitor, and one to transmitter) to a box, and one more from the receiver to your TV? It's all plug-and-play, so you don't need to do anything beyond that.

The console exclusives are something to consider, but many of them come to PC eventually, and PC has many, many more exclusives than the two of them combined.

And only Kerbal Space Program interests me.

Warframe isn't exclusive I recall, though that could be wrong.

I'm fairly certain that the port had not been announced at the time of the image's creation, though I'm not terribly certain on that.

If Kerbal Space Program is the only game on that list that interests you, then what interests you on the other lists?

Regardless, there's also the past years and years of exclusives to choose from, as well as all the PC versions of games that are simply better than the console versions.

Halo and Ryse. I'm a massive Halo fan.

Anyway, I don't like how people always feel the need to proclaim the superiority of PC over consoles.
