1. I assume you are either talking about your motherboard or your power supply (AKA PSU). If your motherboard needs to be replace more than every ten years, then you are getting ripped off. An 800 watt PSU (costing about $150-$200) will last you for a good fifteen years at least. even at the cutting edge, though you probably would be able to go with a <$100 650 watt PSU for about ten if you limit yourself to mid-range components.

2. Alright - the AMD Radeon 7970 is the most expensive consumer-targeted graphics card that AMD sells, excepting the 7990, which, while technically available to consumers, is essentially a showpiece more than anything, as it's $100 more for the same exact card with a single setting toggled in the included control panel software.

3. Er... No. There is no reason to need to overhaul everything in your PC at once, as components tend to age at different rates.

7990 is a double 7970 so no it's not just a single setting

Im out of touch with desktops for the passed few years so i apologies if i came of eh whatever i came off as.
Ive just moved to laptops for the passed few years (well laptop ) for mobility reasons.

I dont have the money to even purchase parts right now, and even if i did i would only get to use em for about two months. Even my laptop will be left here for about 4 years.

If you don't have the money to purchase parts, you don't have the money to buy a console, and even a laptop will run most things acceptable nowadays.

Im not buying anything hahaha what gave you that idea? I have played said new consoles, buying them however or buying anything of high priced right now isnt in the cards unless its something for my car. I do know the next thing I will buy computer wise is gonna be a dual pack with xcom and civ 5 (I think civ 5..... I dont remember) and after that about 4-6 years down the road im buying two desktops and one laptop. My laptop is rather fine, only thing it doesnt like is Arma or Day Z. It loves everything else though.

Yeah. Usually PCs are much more expensive. I haven't found a good PC for the same price as a console.
