The debate has gone on long enough that this has changed no minds on the issue.
Farage will make his supporters confident that the Pro-EU side has no new arguments.
Clegg will make the Pro-EU side irritated that he fucked up so badly and will have them out for his blood/looking for a new spokesman.
It has become clear that we Europeans cannot entrust our future to the establishment politicians. We need a farage.
I don't think Nick was that bad. Yes, he did appeal to emotion, but his statistics and facts had a lot more bearing than the shit that Farage was pulling out.
EDIT: And by God, the last thing we need is a pro-EU Farage. Clarke, who I keep bringing up, is close enough, but still manages to maintain his sanity.
Boris Johnson would be a good one. However, he's a political animal and is unlikely to want to get involved in a divisive issue when he is a potential future prime minister. He'll want to stick to being likable, kissing babies, and petting puppies.
Labours credibility on europe is shot.
Lib-Dems, while not as much in trouble, have the problem of being perceived as internationalists by default (Something that appeals to me, but not to the electorate.)
Conservatives who are pro-europe are the best spokesmen for it.
