Does God exist? Also what are your opinions on religion? I believe that all sides of this debate can respect eachothers' opinions and do this in a civilized fashion. We can also talk about logical fallacies, the problem of evil, Satan, Hell and other religious topics. I am, personally, an atheist and I believe that there is no god(s) or supernatural entities of any kind. I wish for us to engage in a respectable conversation on beliefs and tradition and what value god has in our modern society.
Don't turn this into a flame war... please.

A perfect world, such that we can currently comprehend would be one where all needs are taken care of. Satan convinced Eve to partake of something she should not have, they had a lack of knowledge of good an evil. In the same way, convincing a mentally handicapped person to stick a fork in a light socket would be the fault of the person that convinced them, as the handicapped person cannot comprehend the issue.

So god created em without giving them knowledge of good and evil. Douche.
There's also the problem of incest. If they were the only two humans... And their sons married their daughters and so on... How does that work, they would've developed severe retardation by the sixth or seventh generation..

Also, I think if God can make a person out of dust, clay, or a rib, he can probably prevent incest.

For anyone who does believe in, or hopes for the existence of God, how do you think the afterlife would work? Is it only for people who believe in God, is it for everyone? Is it for people who live justly?

I hope that if there is an afterlife, anyone can go there. If there is a God, it must know that the choosing of religion is very arbitrary, and therefore should not judge based on that choice. I hope there is some sort of reward or incentive for living decently, but I have know idea on what basis that would be judged. I do not hope for the existence of eternal damnation.

Yes, notice I said I hope, never once did I say I believe. Afterlife is implausible, illogical and unreasonable, but a boy can dream can he not?
