Religion already gets more respect than it deserves. No one has a problem talking trash about Nazism or Communism when they disagree with those ideologies, so why should we not talk trash about religions? Religions can be just as dangerous as political ideologies, and they should be subject to the same kind of criticism.

Well said.

Make fun of someone for their political views all you want. Hell, make fun of someone's philosphical views. But say something about their religious views (and I fail to see how they are that different), you're instantly an Islamophobe/Anti-semite/whatever other bullshit name these people come up with.

Why should religions be more sacred than political ideologies or political positions? Most of them are obviously superstitions at any rate...

I believe in God purely out of faith.

To this moment though I have yet to find any proof to the contrary.

To me, only the last 3 poll options seem reasonable. With everything considered (and I mean EVERYTHING) I have no idea of there is any such thing as gods, maybe there is maybe there is not, how ever in this moment right now that we all live in, it really does not matter. Think about it, what would change? You sure would look at life different if we had an answer we all agreed on, but that's about it.

In the absence of evidence to support a positive claim, one assumes the null hypothesis that the positive claim is untrue.

You're seriously comparing all Religion to Nazism or Communism?

On what intellectual grounds do you do that?

Making fun is one thing. Generally speaking, people only get called Islamophobe if they hate Islam or try to blame it for all the problems in the world. Anti-Semite is more aboute race.

Your test scores indicate that you are an open-minded ultra-progressive; this is the political profile one might associate with a journalist. It appears that you are skeptical towards religion, and have a balanced attitude towards humanity in general.

Your attitudes towards economics appear neither committedly capitalist nor socialist, and combined with your social attitudes this creates the picture of someone who would generally be described as a liberal.

To round out the picture you appear to be, political preference aside, a sensible realistic egalitarian with several strong convictions.

Both are potentially dangerous ideologies that require faith to some degree and often require you to suspend reason and logic.

"The Nixon campaign in 1968, and the Nixon White House after that, had two enemies: the antiwar left and black people. You understand what I'm saying? We knew we couldn't make it illegal to be either against the war or black, but by getting the public to associate the hippies with marijuana and blacks with heroin, and then criminalizing both heavily, we could disrupt those communities. We could arrest their leaders. raid their homes, break up their meetings, and vilify them night after night on the evening news. Did we know we were lying about the drugs?
