This website is one of my favorites, though sometimes I can't help but ponder over how or when its all going to end. Max Barry owns NationStates and uses the website to help promote his books; I love this website for everything it has to offer, the gameplay, the role-play, the debates, the regions, etc.

But then Max Barry can't keep running the site forever. So my question therefore is what is the future of NationStates in your opinion NS General?
Will it end after Barry or continue on? Personally I would like it to continue to on somehow and not end. But nothing gold can stay.

I can't tell you how NS will end. But I can tell you what state NS will be in when it ends, if current trends continue. Nothing but trolls, political hipsters, bad RP, spammers of every flavor, and dogtoasters, everywhere you look. Literally a combination of the worst of Stormfront, 4chan, and Tumblr, all mixed together.

So... why are you still around then if the sky's falling? Curiosity demands I ask.

Of course Max Barry is not immortal. He's not even real. I'm super-cereal. He's just an idol made by the mods for the ignorant masses to worship.
