This is why definitions are very important in life, people.

"Alien" as in "Extraterrestrial" as in "organic life that is not endemic to the planet Earth."

Same thing goes with "God": extra-universal or whatever other nonsense.

And if it turns out that Earth isn't the only planet in the known cosmos on which intelligent life evolved, what are the possibilities that alien civilizations also worship a god figure? It's one of those very big and complex questions that humans wonder about.

"It's really hard to imagine that any civilized society would have an answer for that," says actor Morgan Freeman. "It's impossible for me to imagine that we are all there is in a universe this large. And by universe, I mean just this galaxy. I can't imagine that we're all there is. I think there are probably many, many, many intelligent lifeforms," Freeman told The Huffington Post.

Of the many questions humans have ever asked, the concept of whether or not God is worshipped on other worlds could someday be paramount to our understanding of our actual place in the universe.

Freeman explores these provocative topics on "Through the Wormhole With Morgan Freeman," part of Science Channel's week-long series, "Are We Alone?"

If an ET were to make contact, Morgan knows exactly what he would say: "I would first ask, 'How the hell did you get here?' and the second question, 'Is there a God in your society?'"

Aliens. Do they exist? Do they not? And if they do, do they worship God — despite the fact that concept of "God" is subjective? I present you an interesting philosophical discussion. I don't have an opinion on the subject, but if aliens are really as advanced as we think they are, then I would say the concept of God is not present in their culture[s]. Muchas gracias y ariba.

Yes alians exist and by the time they got interstellar flight working they wold consider Religion an artifact of precivilization like slavery, racism, and misogyny. That is something that Neanderthals (figuritivly) have but civilized people have jettisoned.

Not really. I am certainly not a New Yorker, thus I am an alien here.

You're only alien by adjective definition #2.

Aliens do exist. They do not worship deities, as God and/or gods do not exist. In fact they created the human race and humanity during ancient history mistook them for gods.

Why an alien race would follow the Judeo-Christian God, father of Jesus Christ, a fellow who lived in Roman Judea, The Levant, Asia, Earth, Sol, Milky Way Galaxy is utterly unfathomable.

We don't even know what values (if any) an alien species would hold.

It's more likely that any alien life out there is not sentient and they are merely a bunch of animals but to answer your question;

IF sentient alien life existed, the possibility of them worshipping something akin to a deity is huge... every culture on Earth has some form of God or Deity, seriously, every single friggin' culture on Earth!
Before mankind, before us, before speech, before history, before the megalithic buildings we created, the weapons we forged with our hands, the lands we razed with our flames...

There were bunnies and only bunnies... and now, they have returned to rule our lands.

If aliens came here praising God and telling us everything about the Bible and such, then I think all us atheists and non-Christians would have to sit down and figure out what's happening. But no, they probably don't. I mean, like, 99.9% sure they don't. However, this is coming from an Agnostic Atheist that wishes he could be a Gnostic Atheist.

I would assume so. ASSUMING they are sentient. They could be a race of cyborgs, like the Borg, whose only purpose is to assimilate more races.Or they could be a race of insects. Or cars. Or enormous volcanic rocks who cry when they see a fork break up with a spoon who has had its tenth sun eclipse.

Or cars.

Aliens probably have their own religions and god(s). No matter how advanced humans get there will always be believers in God and there is no reason to think aliens would be any different. More interesting is to ask if they believe in the neoplatonic God, since those who believe in it claim its existence is demonstrable through pure logic. If they are right then the existence of the neoplatonic God should also be recognized on other planets.

It depends on what happened in their society as they evolved and gained intelligence and culture. My guess is probably so, but at the point where they have technology advanced enough to travel between solar systems, they have probably mostly accepted atheism as a fact due to overwhelming evidence to evolution, the big bang, and other forces in the universe.

If Aliens do exist and in addition do worship {A} God, it was {is} probably the God Xenu.

 That was of course probably before their alien society fully embraced logic & reason, for once that happen they turned against their oppressive deity and supporters in what we would call a mass genocide, forcing those few remaining devout uncompressing religious followers to, like the Pilgrims, flee to the sanctuary of a new land or in this case a new planet.

This is how humanity learned the undisputable truth.
