if anything you should go after the much younger American and British war criminals from later wars first... bit hypocritical to discriminate against the losing side from a pre-Cold War conflict in the 21st century when there are more recent cases that have gone un-prosecuted.

The two aren't mutually exclusive.

Even after the last Holocaust survivor dies, the legacy of the event will still live on. Probably not forever (who knows what things will be like in the far future...) but for a very long time to come.

I'm not a big fan of the Eternal Victims...

It's 2014 for crying out loud and some people want to go after 90 year old people for alleged crimes in the 1940s. NINETEEN FORTIES FOR GOD'S SAKE!

Aren't there more modern crimes that are going unpunished?

This is clearly discrimination against Nazis...

it doesn't work like that in the real world... we have very limited resources for these things. Got to mobilize them for the more recent crimes... we've already given the Jews some satisfaction with Nuremberg. Now let the rest go.

It has been a very long time, you do make a point. The world really should move on by now, there is really nothing good that can come of jailing these ancient fossils of former nazis. Surely we are not that depraved to be just as bad as them.

Because he ran away. "Just following orders" is not a valid defense, especially when you designed the process.
