The Nazi Third Reich is one of the most notorious groups in history. I don't give two shits if they are the oldest person alive, EXECUTE THEM.

First of all, some people have a philosophical problem with the death penalty.

Secondly, "Nazi war criminals" covers a broad range of people who are guilty of a wide variety of things. For example, there are Nazi war criminals (even big name ones) that never killed a single person and never ordered a single execution. Then there are guys like Eichmann. You need to consider them as individuals and sort out the monsters from the more redeemable ones.

I am not knowingly related to any member of the Holocaust, on either side.

However, it is my position that anyone who willingly kills 2+ people should die. Crimes would drop dramatically, and it will leave a message to that world that the victors will stand by their own paths they chose at the end of the war. How likely is another mass genocide when the United States, UK, France, and Russia will willingly execute any member, even after all generations who were in it are dead?

I am. My grandfather who survived, his brother who did not.

The death penalty has already been shown to not be a successful deterrent. Sure, it gives us a sense of control, a source of power to keep ourselves safe. But it's a myth. It's a reactionary tool used to please the masses when crime rates spike.

But that's another discussion. The point is we could find all the people who committed these crimes and slaughter them. But that would bring us down to their level. It won't be justice, it would be revenge. It wouldn't erase the pain and suffering, or the deaths. It would just bring more.
