And there's all that crap where he continued to yap about "paving a new foundation", which means that he'll demolish the old foundation the Founding Fathers built. I am not in favor of the way our President is conducting the business of the nation, but the moment I consider him a traitor will be the moment I lose total faith in the system of government we depend upon.

I remember quite a few British posters here being a bit miffed at the lack of thought put into the gifts. Not that its that big of a deal, but even I give better gifts half the time, and I totally suck at it.

Arrogant, cowardly, elitist? Perhaps. Anti-American? Well, that's what all right-wingers call liberal Democrats or anyone else who disagrees with them. But a buffoon? I think not. In fact, he's the first president we've had in decades who is not a buffoon. Let us review:

Bush II: Utter buffoon.
Clinton: Buffoon.
Bush I: Buffoon. Not nearly as bad as his son, though.
Reagan: Buffoon. Almost as bad as Bush II.
Carter: Not quite a buffoon, but close, what with seeing UFO's and lusting after women. Brother Billy was a buffoon, though.
Ford: The gold standard of presidential buffoonery, at least until Bush II.
Nixon: No way was he a buffoon. Way too evil. He never said or did anything silly, just evil. His wife, however, was a buffooness.
Johnson: No buffoon either, despite buffoonish things like showing off his operation scar or lifting his dogs up by the ears. He was too damn effective, love him or hate him, to ever be a buffoon.
After that, no buffoons in the rest of the 20th century, although could be Harding and Hoover came close, I dunno. You have to go back to maybe Millard Fillmore. Did anybody ever do a musical about him?
