Democracy and Ideological Diversity are the same thing?

Postby Hakaro » Mon Feb 24, 2014 4:02 pm

Democracy and Ideological Diversity are the same thing? That is the Regional Poll of Paraguay

The options for answer are impartial, but I can give my opinion?

How can I talk about democracy and force the other person to agree with me? Freedom and Justice are no more goals of struggle, are justifications for oppression and ideological tyranny. I see this often in the game.

but that is the goal of the game, the discussion...

Well... I think we learn more when we reflect on something that does not agree.

Probably not. Democracy, is when the majority gets its way. Ideological diversity, is simply a diversity of ideologies.

No, not definitively. Regardless of whether a country is a democracy or not, ideological diversity is up to the people's beliefs. The difference is that democracy allows the people to be public and even attempt to act on their ideologies in the political stage.

It's simple. How is it possible to defend democracy and not respect the ideological diversity? The goal is to create a discussion to find out if this is a requirement or not in a democracy.

I agree with this "exception". Politics of hate can not be considered a respectable ideology.
