Arizona REALLY wants to become the Oklahoma of the Western coast. First anti-immigration laws and now this.

Good for them.

How would they enforce this though?

Sexuality is not like race. It cannot be identified so easily.

Good for them?!

They are wasting valuable time, they need to be demoted immediately...thats a thing for you all right? They can loose their citizenship for this?

They better be punished, if a citizen above me wasted valuable time and effort from our government I would request an evaluation immediately, then again that state or whatever lives in a country obsessed with Money and filled to the brim with those who are not willing to work for their citizenship...but whatever, you Humans shall avoid it somehow.

Are you REALLY sure Arizonans want to see what happened in Oklahoma come true?

And I am not sure how they plan on doing this, but one thing is for sure: drive enough people away and their economy will fail:

http://www.csmonitor.com/Commentary/Opi ... m-Oklahoma

Really now, if Arizona wants to drive away business, I think we should let them. After all, they think that running off anyone who is not an uppity white Christian heterosexual will turn the clock back and make things okay; whereas we already saw what happened to Oklahoma: they are dirt poor right now, and that's not me just saying it, I've been to Oklahoma and my dad has purchased property there for peanuts.

"Retarded".

So, apparently, its perfectly ok for the principal to actively endorse a campaign to end the use of "retarded" as a slur, but letting students protest homophobic and transphobic slurs, attitudes, and bullying crosses a line? Can anybody say hypocrisy?

Well in fairness retardation is most often provably genetic, whereas lgbt may or may not be choice, so I actually it sounds less hypocritical to me than you might think. ;)

Thank you, may your spirit stay strong friend.

But who wouldn't want to be under the banner of the Hierarchy?

Well...besides lazy people, and pacifist, even though you don't need to even kill a soul in service but whatever.

But honestly, this is a waste of time, couldn't the legislature be concerned with more important goals?

Isn't the countries economy damaged or something? Why the hell would someone pass this bill then?

Why would any business owner be against selling their stuff to a person who is attracted to the same sex or something, money is money.

Illegal immigration is unquestionably a choice (excepting small children perhaps) and therefor rightly punishable. Lgbt-ness may or may not be a choice therefor whether or not laws discriminating against the lgbt are legit or not is an open and fairly debatable question. ;)

Like I said, Oklahoma has already seen what has happened when you drive off enough people: Republicans will keep getting elected, and they won't lose citizenship, but, property values will plummet and the market of Arizona will be at levels comparable to Oklahoma, that is to say almost non-existent.

Well then who cares. Some other business owner will serve both lgbt and straight people and have 10% more business as a result thus the invisible hand of the market naturally selects against government permitted bigotry hence capitalism is awesome. :)

It'll probably fail as it did in Kansas, but if it doesn't, well, it'll certainly be the death of 'em. They'd probably just move to CO or something at that point. Or Cali.

Illegal immigration is not the point I am trying to make though.

What I am trying to make a footnote with illegal immigration is that Arizona is nearing the point where almost every demographic which is not a White Christian Republican won't want to be there, driving off most of their business and they being EXACTLY like Oklahoma, which is to say in a condition so deplorable that anyone can go invest in peanuts in their land and they will have to take it because it's the best they can do with their properties plummeting into the ground.

Shame, such a dishonor requires a massive punishment.

At the end of the day, this is a distraction that puts the focus on a non issue, a normal thing...and thus taking heat away from important things...such as the economy, or heathcare....I assume at least, even if there wasn't anything to do, there is no reason to be bringing this up.

These gays and lesbians are doing a fine job being citizens, and as far as I know, they are not halting progress, in fact they are going for it.

You Humans won't make it to space at this rate, even we were to hand you Eezo and all that, you would only end up a mess.

Ugh...Humans in space, I like some of you, but its going to be a pain having to bring you under the Hierarchy if you cause trouble in space.

Hopefully you and me will have passed long before that.

2. Hey now, let's not get crazy here. Baby steps. Pretend to be tolerant, discuss getting up-to-date texbooks, consider effective sex ed. Once they get that down, they can worry about actually doing the things for realsies. For now, they're still having a hard time acting like they care about progress.

Umm yeah, and people are leaving NY and California in droves for more competive job markets with more freedom, lower taxes and less unions (the big labor kind that is). I hope the libs enjoy there eroding tax base and sense of smug selfsatisfaction at been both economically and socially progressive.

After hearing that the legislation was approved, Rocco DiGrazia, owner of Rocco's Little Chicago Pizzeria in Tucson, put up a sign on a window Thursday night that reads "We reserve the right to refuse service to Arizona legislators."

DiGrazia calls the bill's approval "appalling."

DiGrazia, who grew up Catholic but doesn't follow any religion now, said he cares more about dishing out pizza to customers — gay or straight. He isn't sure if he'll follow what's on his sign.

It's already costing them millions of dollars a year just to keep up with it. This is without counting the mass migration of 200,000 immigrants out of state which has caused them to lose God knows how many more hundreds of millions of dollars in production and making their state's GDP go into a crunch.

OOC: I take it you don't know the secondary concept behind this account then. Its to add discussion from an alien view point, I find the Turians to be the best example to do this since they seem the most unique. I raise discussions or participate, but from a alien perspective, its a new way to communicate, like some sort of social experiment. It works so long as people go along with it :)

And yeah, I got clearance from Dread lady first, (She responded first) and as long as I follow the rules, I'm fine :)
