Something more feasible would be to get the blue skin from this fellow primate:

Humans with feathers would be interesting.

Would you want to date a girl who is always molting?

Sure, I would even help clean up the feathers.

Nah. One, you're not bringing the light to a sharp focus, just reducing its area by half. Two, you're turning the light into food, not passively letting it heat you. You can also coat the lens to reflect IR light; that's expensive, but not impossible. Cheaper would be just letting it absorb the IR, and heat up instead.

It would be cool to be a living fresnel lens, just be genetically engineered to have clear skin and clear organs, and have clear scales genetically modified to be deformed into a lens.

so you don't know how conservation of energy works do you?
turning light into "food" means absorbing it, and thus a great deal of heat.

I got quite annoyed after the Haiti earthquake. A baby was taken from the wreckage and people said it was a miracle. It would have been a miracle had God stopped the earthquake. Find it in an animal, and perhaps it can be done. Otherwise it's useless. There is no biological equivalent to HTML web colours.

except for octupi, and chameleon, and ect.

mammals are not that colorful because most mammals can't see much color. Even primates have pretty piss poor color vision compared to reptiles and birds.

heck I would just like eyes that could see all the extra color they can see.

I ... No, though that's an option, I suppose. I was thinking more green with photosynthesis built in. That way I could skip lunch and not have a blood sugar crash. Of course, I suppose I'd have to live somewhere that I could wear the minimum amount of clothes. Well, details need to be worked out.

all you need is a slightly less conservative metabolism.

I'm quite familiar with the concept, thanks. Light energy converted into chemical energy can't show up as thermal energy also.

except for the waste heat generated by each conversion, and all the light that simply misses the small molecules in question.

plants have elaborate cooling mechanisms for a reason.

some auxiliary photosynthesis would be nice but trying to run a person on it is just impossible, we just generate to much material waste.
