Even though a lot of places might reject you now, they'll want someone later, and by then you'll have your car.

I couldn't agree more, Its always good to have an exact idea of what you are looking for even if you are not able to get one for reasons such as not having a license yet. Getting a resume filled out would be your best bet at the moment so that you are ready to go when you apply.

From my experience with moderating "yes I actually help with moderating a game" the Arma3 crew and digital marketing, I have found that both creating a website and creating scripts for say a zombie or a soldier is pretty much the same depending on what software you are using.

I am currently in my 3rd year of university, typing up a 10,000 word essay along side module essays. As much as I would like to have a part time job along side my work, I don't think I would be able to comprehend with all of the deadlines XD

This kind of fits in with what I have told other people. Even with part time jobs, you have to be mentally "In the game" to be able to put up with school work, a job, and the essentials. Other wise you could get so stressed out that you completely collapse. I had a friend named Mike, believe it or not this actually happened to him. We were out to dinner with a few of the other guys from work and we could all tell right off the bat that when he had arrived something was not right. He had only gotten half way through the building when he collapsed. The doctor had told him that it was from training, constantly straining his body, and regular work. He was not able to do things like take a shower by himself for about a week and a half.

Worked a variety of jobs. Was in the Territorial Army for a wee while. Worked multiple levels of security for events managers. Worked in kitchens, horticulture and construction too. I'm a warehouse grunt (item picker) -- I work anywhere between 25 and 35 hours a week, and basically run around all day picking items out of bins or pallet cages. Good exercise, but destroys my shoes.

I have always wondered what my life would have been like if I were a game warden. The only problem is...... Instead of doing my job, you would probably see me fishing instead
Now with my job we dont really get to enjoy nature. For targets we usually shoot trees and or the water. So i guess you could say we might get stopped by you in the future for sawing down trees with a gatlin gun instead of killing animals :lol2:

You would probably have to smack us with the ore, we are pretty hard headed. And when I hunt I use every thing on the animal so that nothing goes to waste and I am not constantly trying to find another animal to shoot. That in my opinion is a waste of population. I cant tell you how many times I go out and hunt or fish and find a truck parked in the parking lot with 2 to 3 deer in the back.

Had a job at a super market. Because said super market had a union, I had the pleasure of being systematically moved from area of the store to area of the store as I failed each one. Physically I did best as a cashier but generated a lot of customer complaints because I don't deal well with people. The last area of the store I worked at was eventually the graveyard shift and I had to quit before I punched my bitch manager in the face for being a bitch.

After that job I got a psychological analysis (voluntary, it was my idea) and found I have aspergers. Now I'm on disability cause fuck that noise.

NO WAY!!!!! When I was training out in Louisiana, A few of my brothers and I went out to check New Orleans and we ACTUALLY ate at a restaraunt called Camellia Grill. I dont know if it was the same one or if there are more but I remember it being pretty damn good food.

Well I started this job in late March of 2012. Before that I worked at Tulane University's Bookstore. And was the place you ate at in the French Quarter or along the Street Car line? There would have been a restaurant called O'Henry's next door to us on one side and a Cold Stone Creamery on the other side. Big white building, pink neon letters on the top.

Used to be a general dogsbody at a garden centre - a Saturday job sort of thing, whilst I was at school.

Then, after uni, I was an advertising copy writer for the website-writing arm of the Yellow Pages. That was particularly shit.

Now, I'm archaeologist.

By doing an archaeology degree and handing in a job application :P

Well, albeit there was about three years between me graduating from uni and getting that job. I worked as a staff member at my uni's training dig after I graduated in 2010, but this was more or less at the height of the recession and I had a lot of trouble getting any job, let alone one in archaeology.

Later on, some of my parents' friends are ex-archaeologists and knew there were some jobs at a company near Exeter, which I applied to in April 2012. Sadly, the mining company that was funding it pulled out, so I was made redundant. I then went back to my uni's training dig for a couple of weeks - I was unemployed, I had nothing better to do. There were representatives from two of the nearer commercial archaeology companies who turned up, and they took a load of CVs and covering letters.

A degree in archaeology isn't strictly necessary, but it does help. If nothing else, it shows you have a brain.

Or at least in theory. Some people I know, you'd never have thought as much.

It has its ups and downs. My company's laying off some people at the moment, due to the fact that the weather's so shitty we can't actually do any digging in a lot of places. Or it's too dangerous to get to, or that the emergency services couldn't get to us if there was an accident.

Also, as field staff, we're regarded as somewhat-expendable. You get laid off readily.

I'm constantly flitting from service and matance to other jobs of the same type largely because first to be hired is also first fired.
It sucks, especally when you've got plenty of knowlage and nobody will give you a chance, I got passed over for an guy who plans retire next year anyways.
I've also been passed over due to "quotas" left over from the political correctness of the 90's.
