Would any one tell me if they would like me to add a picture of my job in my topic post? It still seems kind of bland.

A small picture, spoilered, would be acceptable, though hardly necessary.

Nothing on the pay grade I could find on the website, just a starting salary which is pretty good btw.

Some new questions then that won't be on the website.

Just out of curiosity, what were your PST & ASVAB scores?

Typically, how often do you deploy and for how long? Have you personally ever deployed from an Amphibious Assault ship and if so, what was that like?

How often do you work with other SOFs? Foreign ones especially and what is your impression of them?

And finally, why did you join SWCC specifically?

You may delay, but time will not, therefore make sure to enjoy the time you've wasted.

Welcome to the NSverse, where funding priorities and spending levels may seem very odd, to say the least.

Even though it makes life in the long run easier in my opinion to start working at a young age, it is always good to make sure you have the time, mentality, and willingness to do both your job and school work, otherwise it would run you dead of exaustion. I didnt have my first job until I was 18.

I understand that most NSers are either dependents or vagrants. Or philosophy majors, which is more of the same.

Presently, my job consists of performing unappreciated, menial, instruction for an engineering firm that is set to flee the country in about a year, despising my fellow employees, and plotting my supervisor's untimely demise. Every day on the toilet I dream of this and the moment when I leave for new employment in Melbourne.

There is a white picture on my desk. It is a blank illustration of that house. Every day I colour in a new square in said picture. The day all the squares are coloured is the day I leave this hell.

Ek bly in Australie nou, maar Afrika sal altyd in my hart wees. Maak nie saak wat gebeur nie, ek is trots om te kan sê ek is 'n kind van hierdie ingewikkelde soms wrede kontinent. Mis jou altyd my Suid-Afrika, hier met n seer hart al die pad van Melbourne af!

working with the railways sounds like an intereasting job. Out there working with those giant steel mammouths could be a rough job though eh?

Come on beside some of the cool things that go on you have to admit that at almost every carnival there is someone you could consider strange.

For anyone out of a job or wondering what career they might do, take comfort in the fact that I didn't have a real job until I was 26, mostly I was finding means to travel around the globe before that. So..

1. If you're lucky enough to not be paying rent, or at university, grab any shitty job you can. I sat on a production line putting pins in plugs for a month - it sucked ass but I saved every penny.
2. Grants - I got six months in India on a government grant program, all sorts of institutes offer grants of all sorts.
3. Travel.. if you're Dutch, Canadian, English or a bunch of others, you have a 1 year work opportunity in Australia - sure you're mostly going to be picking vegetables or fruit but you'll meet great people.. I happened to work as a writer for a magazine, it sort of set me on my career path.
4. If you write English, well you have great opportunities in many countries, an unfair advantage but one all the same - I actually imagine it applies to any language actually, every country needs people who can write in some language
5. Consider embassies, they need non-official workers for, say, visa application work and etc.,

Basically, get out into the wide world - better the fool who's sent to roam than the fool who stays at home.

EDIT: Learn another language, there's apps like Duolingo that make this real easy for you.

Yes, it can be very dangerous. It can be very easy to get yourself or someone else killed or injured. Not to mention a small mistake in the operation department could cause the destruction of a town or half a city.

There are several I consider to be strange, but honestly, sometimes it is the people that come to the midway that are the strangest of all. I will tell you that most of us Carny's can point out a chomo in a heartbeat and we don't like them at all.

Strange things always happen on a midway, that is most likely why I love this job. Honestly I consider myself a bit on the strange side...but then that could just be me :)
