Maybe that's why you're in complete denial. You're avoiding the truth.

It is all he has fucking done. He presumes he knows about depression, and spits on those that actually live with it, now he spits on all the non-religious by saying we are not happy, and he is.

Don't even try to say that I never suffered "real depression". That's just as stupid as me saying you don't know "true happiness". Which I admit was stupid. I realize you can obtain true happiness through friends, family, etc. But you will not know godly happiness, which exceeds any other forms of happiness.

One day you will ask your god for help. Whether it be to save a loved one who did not deserve to die, or to help yourself when you are in dire straits. When you hear nothing but silence in return maybe then you'll understand.
Maybe you will understand when your best friend is dying from a gunshot wound and you ask god to save him and he doesn't answer and you watch your friend die. A innocent victim who loved god just as you do.

I'm honestly sorried if that happened to you. I can't imagine how awful it must have been.

No, they're not. A town and a village are not the same thing, they are not equal.
Separate but "equal" is not equal. "Civil unions" is nothing but a pathetic attempt to continue the treatment of LGBT people as second class citizens, just less obviously so than before.

Hmmm...I admit you may be right about this. I don't want to treat LGBT people as second class citizens, but I also don't want them to defile marriage. I am conflicted... What should I do?
