Currently getting around in a 2002 Peugeot 206.

Would like to upgrade soon, something with the ability to quickly become a skid car.

It's been 25 years since I rode in one of these. And it caught fire. And burned up all my school work and melted its licence plate frame into the asphalt.

Now I drive a rusty and dented up late-model Beetle with a shiny new fire extinguisher. :lol2:

She's only caught fire once when she rejected a poorly installed stereo like a bad implant. I sort of cleared itself up and I was able to travel on...still don't have a fire extinguisher. Should.

Back with the Porsche it had leaky injectors and instead of replacing them with the ones in the glove box, I carried a bottle of water to put out any fire that happened instead of an extinguisher because, and this made total sense to me at the time, I wanted to be able to keep driving after the fire was out. A lot of what I did in that car didn't make sense...
"...I have been gravely disappointed with the white moderate. I have almost reached the regrettable conclusion that the Negro's great stumbling block in the stride toward freedom is not the White Citizen's Council-er or the Ku Klux Klanner, but the white moderate who is more devoted to "order" than to justice; who prefers a negative peace which is the absence of tension to a positive peace which is the presence of justice; who constantly says "I agree with you in the goal you seek, but I can't agree with your methods of direct action;" who paternalistically feels he can set the timetable for another man's freedom; who lives by the myth of time and who constantly advises the Negro to wait until a "more convenient season." -MLK Jr.

Right now, a Trek 3 Series 3500 mountain bike.

In a few weeks, when I get my provisional driver's license, I'll be driving the family 2012 Ford Fiesta, similar to the one pictured here:

Needless to say, the idea that I am going to be trusted with the control over a thousand kilos of high velocity metal is both exciting and pants-stainingly terrifying. I still pop bubble wrap and make things out of Lego. I am not ready for this.

I miss the days when Citroens looked like crazy noway cars. And were available in the US.

I'd prefer a German car, really, but the insurance is absurd for a new driver.
