Is Kosovo part of Serbia?

Postby The Democratic States of Khazakia » Fri Jan 31, 2014 4:28 pm

I don't know if there's already a thread for this, or if it was locked by a mod. If so, :palm:.
I just want to hear everyone's opinion on this, and/or the other un-internationally recognized nations. It's not my intention to start some cyber-war or anything.
First of all, I fully support Kosovo, Abkhazia, South Ossetia, Nagorno-Karabakh, Somaliland, Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic/Western Sahara, and Transnistria. What about you guys?

No. I support Kosovo's independence.

Also, it's not like Kosovo is just going to return to Serbia. They're going to stay independent whether you like it or not.

I support peace in Israel and Palestine. The governments and people in power on all sides are an absolute disgrace, and their unwillingness to pursue peace is a disservice to the people they are meant to be serving. The status quo is not simply untenable; it is unquestionably unacceptable.

My map says it does not.

But really, anyone who cares about this should stop doing so. With, maybe, the exception of the people actually living in Kosovo. And even they would probably be better off not caring and worrying about more important things.

Well, is your map from before 2008? National Geographic has confirmed the Kosovar independence, but then again, it is an American brand...

Maps can become outdated. My map has Kosovo, but lacks South Sudan (even though the independence of South Sudan is not debated to my knowledge).

Something I dislike in special about the international policy of the Lula and Dilma governments are the way they almost say Serbia has an inherent right to Kosovo.

We will gain more from Camba independence (eastern flat Bolivia) than we would lose with Rio Grande do Sul independence, that is the most laughable one of all independence movements worldwide (O Sul É O Meu País, República Paulista and O Rio É O Meu País would not be serious business even if the first man on Mars supported it) anyway, so we aren't any like Spain to worry.

Actually, we should recognize an unilateral Camba as soon as one could, to make them sure again being pro-Brazilian is good, and to tell other South American countries who feel so much in their own shoes like Paraguay and Evo's pet project itself who's boss.

Well according to the world yes, but I wouldn't mind if it was free. I also support all the other little nations you mentioned except Somaliland. If Somaliland is free I think it would become worse then it is there.

The map I'm currently thinking of is from google. But let's face it, the only maps who don't recognise this are those who are issued with a political agenda in mind, especially since the Republic of Kosovo has effective control over most, if not all, of the geography.

At any rate, the way many people in the Balkans treat borders and things makes me throw up in my mouth a little bit. It's like the rest of Europe 70 years ago, and that's been empirically shown to be really, really dumb.

Kosovo Je Srbija!!!

Now, I've got that out, the majority of the world recognise it apart from two very important S.C members: Russia and China, and more nations. See wiki.
