Yes, but the proportion of how many latinos vote/latinos in population is extremely low copmpared to other groups because so many Latinos are illegible to vote. Except the Cubans in Florida.

Erm, no, that's incorrect: http://www.pewhispanic.org/2013/06/03/i ... lectorate/

A record 11.2 million Latinos voted in the 2012 presidential election, but Latinos’ voter turnout rate continues to lag other groups significantly, according to an analysis of new Census Bureau data by the Pew Research Center.

That's almost half of the eligible Latino voters. The overall turnout was 58.2%. So they're only 10%-20% behind other ethnicities, but they're growing. Furthermore, Blacks go with Democrats, that's just a fact, and the result of Republican policies in places like the Deep South. White vote is split. Hispanic Vote can be the swing vote, and thus, both parties are chasing it like puppies chasing their tail.

How does someone who is for relaxed immigration policies think that the immigrants gradually displacing the native population is unintentional? Unless there is a quota involved, of course this will happen. They are doing this on purpose for more votes or cheaper labor. Rather than trying to train our workforce, it is simpler to just fly in people who will work for less but still have desired skills.

Ugh, California is setting itself up for a catastrophe. Well, its not setting itself up, it's just been very unlucky as of late. Sluggish economy, mass exodus of the middle class, and influx of generally working-class immigrants generally isn't a good mixture.

They're doing it for both: more votes and cheaper labor. That said, I doubt that either party is doing it for racist reasons.
