That is confused thinking. That is like saying Cambodia should have been wholly Thai territory before setting itself up as a sovereign state. There would be no Cambodia.

Southeast Asia isn't as bloodbathy as is Southwest Asia.

Also, if they want independence, they would soon have. Just look at Spain and the United Kingdom, going to have independence referendums of parts of their territories this very year. Turkey obviously would have to grant independence if that was the wish of Kurds and Zazas.
