Cette campagne a bénéficié de la puissance de feu des Appareils Idéologiques d’État, CRIF et LICRA (voir ici mon billet sur cette question) et des media officiels mais également de forces supplétives, notamment la Ligue de Défense Juive. Terrorisant, frappant, insultant les spectateurs de Dieudonné ainsi que des passants lors de véritables expéditions punitives devant le théâtre de la main d’or – faut-il le préciser, sans que les forces de police mobilisées pour l’occasion ne bougent le petit doigt (voir ici) – cette milice paramilitaire a déjà un lourd passé derrière elle, parsemé de violences et d’agressions en tout genre.

Essentially, thats a terrorist activity and is responded to as such. Palestine is a terrorist organisation. If a government chooses to ignore militant attacks on a civilian populace, thats why you get reprisals and blockading, because israel is trying to safeguard it's own borders due to PLO attacks in the past.

I'm so ambivalent toward Israel. On the one hand I find the treatment of the Palestinian people, illegal settlements and attacks on civilians revolting. On the other I see the only functioning democracy in the region, who aren't recognized by most of their neighbors with some threatening to nuke them of the face of the earth. I simply don't think the way the Israeli government behaves is any different to most liberal democracies in that situation.

Ideally you would have a two state solution with the 1948 borders that were quite fair to both parties. Jerusalem becomes a separate city state administrated by the UN and defended by forces from the Security Council whilst allowing the Israeli and Palestinian parliaments to be their which would be soverign territory of the respected nations.
