Meh, I actually wouldn't be surprised if Duterte is sort of expecting some sort of coup against him. At least then he just has to crack some skulls and get much more leeway to make significant change in the Philippine political system. If not, he'll be stuck as a wel-meaning leftist in a hopelessly corrupted right-wing system.
