Um, when the nation was founded, slaves(who represented the majority of non-whites at the time), women and non-landowners could not vote. You seriously need a source for this? It's common knowledge. Start with the Constitution.

When the founding fathers founded the nation, they did not try to anticipate the future and its possibly changing social values.
They kept this in mind while writing the independence declaration, and the constitution, and any official document to ever emerge from that disagreeing political gridlock of a so called continental congress.

well in that case, times certainly will be interesting. Hopefully, the republicans won't have enough control of congress to actually enact some of their policies onto america, and certainly not enough control to override a veto.

I see, so you aren't refuting the fact that only white male landowners could vote when the country was founded, you oppose the notion that they would be offended by it.
Well you should have gone with the fact that dead people can't think and don't cry.
But whatever.
Miss Defied wrote:Nah. They'd be crying over the fact that non-whites, women and poor people who don't own land were voting.

On the national level, do you know what happened between Barletta and his challenger in PA-11 by any chance?
Looks like he has it locked up.

Also, his district is spread across nine different counties. NINE. Effing nine!
