Source your objective, speculative bullshit.

Um, when the nation was founded, slaves(who represented the majority of non-whites at the time), women and non-landowners could not vote. You seriously need a source for this? It's common knowledge. Start with the Constitution.

That's a valid point, but, if the 2016 Democratic Nomination follows the 2008 Democratic Nomination, the nominee was elected to the Senate tonight, and for now is largely unknown.

Alternatively, it's a guy who gave a great speech at the previous DNC, like our young HUD Secretary...

She made a point how he voted against helping people who tried to do what he did when he sued for his injury?

That was probably garbled, and I don't recall all of the details, but basically he sued, won, and then voted against people doing what he did. (I'll go back and look, but if someone has more information, feel free to correct me.)

When the founding fathers founded the nation, they did not try to anticipate the future and its possibly changing social values.
They kept this in mind while writing the independence declaration, and the constitution, and any official document to ever emerge from that disagreeing political gridlock of a so called continental congress.

I expected some tears from the left, but the sheer amount of vitriol and fearmongering in this thread is hilarious.

I see, so you aren't refuting the fact that only white male landowners could vote when the country was founded, you oppose the notion that they would be offended by it.
Well you should have gone with the fact that dead people can't think and don't cry.
But whatever.

Oh, they will be interesting now that the Republicans got what they wanted: majority in congress.

Let's see if they don't fuck this one up.

I love how Alabama needs to reaffirm it's citizens' right to bear arms through a ballot measure. As if Alabama was a place where that right is teetering on the verge of abolition.

I'm telling you: we need to be careful with that idea. It could backfire on us. I really feel we should give in a bit -- on smaller issues only -- and then say "look how f'ed up their ideas were" when they go splat.

Yep.

His district makes me sad to be a Pennsylvanian, since the Republicans there need to have their districts so gerrymandered they cross half the damn state to be elected.

Republicans are still the chief fearmongerers I think.

However, if Democrats did any fearmongering during this midterm, it was poorly done. Mostly it was something to the tune of "save the Senate." Democrats, however, being their usual communication inept selves, were unable to explain to the American people why the Senate should be saved.
