Jumped the gun :L.

Yes; I should have said not filibuster-proof either. I still feel the Dems should be careful with the filibuster, though. I'm afraid it could backfire on them.

Like someone said earlier, not sure exactly who, letting the Republicans fuck up and using it as leverage later on would work.

But that's not exactly right. But then again, politics =/= morals.

Disappointed, I had hoped the Democrats could at least, at least, tie the Republicans, then Biden could have the tie breaking vote.
I'm just looking forward to the absolute train wreck the 2016 election will be for the GOP. Good ol'Hillary looks like she could wipe the floor with the best the Republicans have.

I'm not a big fan of the Southern Tea Party. They've left a pretty sour taste in my mouth.

Yeah, I don't see any problem with being critical of an African American supporting a party that doesn't understand us nor tries to.
"The Nixon campaign in 1968, and the Nixon White House after that, had two enemies: the antiwar left and black people. You understand what I'm saying? We knew we couldn't make it illegal to be either against the war or black, but by getting the public to associate the hippies with marijuana and blacks with heroin, and then criminalizing both heavily, we could disrupt those communities. We could arrest their leaders. raid their homes, break up their meetings, and vilify them night after night on the evening news. Did we know we were lying about the drugs? Of course we did."—former Nixon domestic policy chief John Ehrlichman

I look forward to see some the new Republican senators-elect, particularly Joni Ernst and Tom Cotton, in Washington. I hope they can measure up to Ted Cruz and Rand Paul. I am certainly less pessimistic about the future, though not outright optimistic with Mitch at the helm of the Senate.

Regardless of what the most of the self-declared intelligentsia believe, I think this is a step in the right direction (pun unintended). I will sleep knowing tonight knowing that the Senate was won; and many, many, hyper-inflated egos were bruised.

Well Sam Brownback (narrowly) keeps his governorship with the last few districts putting him 50-46. Along with the Greg Orman campaign this has been the scariest races for supposedly safe republicans.

Hillary Clinton probably won't be becoming POTUS, she is being set up for a defeat by someone to the left of her within her own party. She'll be seen as too pro-war and will be making mistakes. If she misses 2016, that is pretty much her last chance at it.

Look how close she came in 2008 to winning the Democratic nomination.
Now, name one person who stands a chance against her if she decides to run again.
