Certainly. I've just heard this (essentialy a)debate over semantics used in truly obtuse ways to try and say some very illogical things. To hear the willfully selfdeluded try to say their form of self delusion is better than another's just brings out the jerk in me.
No offense to whomever intended. One can believe whatever they want 99% of everything we think of as true is really just accepted on good faith and common agreement anyway. I've never been to France, pretty sure it exists but it may be a conspiricy of cartographers for all I know.

This here is actually the sort of thing I was talking about earlier. There's a choice. If you're just automatically "good", or rather what we in this universe would perceive as good, it makes such "good" meaningless.

So, what was the guilt of the people of Longarone - infant kids included - that they had to be pulverised into mud (literally) or drowned if they managed to survive the initial blast?

What was the guilt of the kids who were swept away and drowned, or beaten to their death by the flotsam, during the 2004 Boxing Day tsunami?

And how come they got to die worse, earlier and more painful deaths than, let's say, SS war criminal Erich Priebke?

Hint, promising pie in the sky and threatening brimstone in hell doesn't fix everything. It doesn't fix anything. It never has. It never will.

I try not to have beliefs, they're too inflexible. However, what I'm describing is a Creator who had to choose between making a functional, flawed universe and none at all. Rather, that what we have is the best He could do, physics-wise.

Why stipulate anything at all about the universes creation, something that we know nothing about? Why not just say "somehow the universe was created" and let the physicists figure out the rest if they can.

But they aren't "Evil," they just ... are, man. "Evil" implies intent. Comas have no intent. And anyway, comas are the only method of time-travel we have. Not exactly reliable since you can't tell where (when) you'll arrive or if you'll arrive, but still.

Anyway, I'm not sure how much of this is on topic.

Because the entire propositions rests on the initial assumption "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth." That's why I don't truck with it, myself.
