With the 24th pick of the 2015 NFL Draft, the Arizona Cardinals select D.J. Humphries, Tackle, Florida.

Humphries ought to fill a major need for Arizona as long as he stays healthy.

With the 25th pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, the Carolina Panthers select Shaq Thompson, Linebacker, Washington.

This is a steal for the Panthers, I think.

NOTE: In an effort to avoid spamming, I'll condense the rest of the first round into this post.

With the 26th pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, the Baltimore Ravens select Breshad Perriman, Wide Receiver, Central Florida.

With the 27th pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, the Dallas Cowboys select Byron Jones, Defensive Back, UConn.

With the 28th pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, the Detroit Lions select Laken Tomlinson, Guard, Duke.

With the 29th pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, the Indianapolis Colts select Phillip Dorsett, Wide Receiver, Miami.

With the 30th pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, the Green Bay Packers select Damarious Randall, Defensive Back, Arizona State.

With the 31st pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, the New Orleans Saints select Stephone Anthony, Linebacker, Clemson.

With the 32nd pick in the 2015 NFL Draft, the New England Patriots select Malcolm Brown, Defensive Tackle, Texas.

And thus ends the first round.

Byron Jones!

It's an interesting pick, but it does potentially fill one of Dallas' biggest needs, something I've not been able to say often in recent years.

I think it was a reach for Byron Jones - too much "workout warrior" elevation of his stock.

I tend to agree. The last few picks of the first round have been very much underwhelming.

Still, nothing as batshit as picking Deonne Bucannon or Paul Richardson early like last year.

Dallas drafted safe. Needed a CB more than anything seeing as we could be looking at a season without Claiborne, Scandrick or Carr.

The Chargers drafted a good player in Melvin Gordon. I am pleased.

So, the Giants have decided that a defence isn't what they need this year.

For once in my life, I have to agree with you. Not about being pleased, but about Gordon being a good talent who fits in well in San Diego.

My Lions have drafted Laken Tomlinson. We needed a guard anyway.

It's about time the Browns started building up their line. This guy could be a big help to Hoyer. Oh wait, he's gone. Well, to Manziel. Still in rehab? Sheesh....

I hope he does well seeing as he's a B1G guy, but I'm always skeptical of Wiscy running backs.

Idzequitch wrote:Brett Hundley, perhaps?

He's a project, I'd hate to see the Browns ruin him by trying to start him right away. Browns' line is pretty solid, did well the first half of the season last year and then got dismantled by injuries.

is a man who could be getting some serious compensation if it turns out he didn't do it.

You guys take care of him, he was one of my favorite college players! (Beside Elliott from OSU.)

I don't get why the Panthers drafted a running back.
They have what, like, 1 amazing and experienced (albeit old) HB and the bowling ball of a man Mike Tolbert.
And a young RB that had some pretty great games last season.

As a Chargers fan, what will Melvin Gordon mean for the future?

He could be the next great Chargers running back.
