"Jaguars Top 5 Draft Needs

1. EDGE rusher - The Jaguars had a lot of sacks last season, but they were dead last in bringing pressures. This is a case where the sacks didn't really tell the story of the Jaguars pass rush. Not only that, but the top three LEO edge rushers currently on the Jaguars roster are Chris Clemons (33 years old), Andre Branch (injury history, disappointing production, final year of contract) and Chris Smith (2014 5th round pick, barely played). This will be a position the Jaguars upgrade in the draft, the question is just where."

But it doesn't matter how good that defense is if they can't score a damn point. You don't score points, you lose. It ain't rocket science. Yes, it was a need, but no, it was not even nearly their biggest need.

I think that has the potential to be a pick the Chargers fondly look back upon 10 years from now. It's a good pick.

The Jaguars drafted for offense last year (6 of 9 picks were offensive players). They haven't even have time to develop their young players yet. Matching the biggest need without reaching is not a bad strategy.

Yes, pass rusher was their biggest need. "They need offense" does not mean the glaring hole in their pass rush since the departure of Jason Babin is any better.

A fair point. I still don't think Fowler was their best option, but only time will tell whether the pick will pay off or not.

I don't see a glaring issue with Fowler so much as the principle of ever drafting a DE so early, but that's a completely separate issue. Personally, he looks like a complete package for a player, flashes what I believe will make a great NFL talent, and he has no glaring off-the-field problems. I think it's a good pick.

The 49ers didn't go with an inside linebacker? What? I mean, they're going to be absolute garbage in the NFL this year regardless, but you can soften the blow.

I'm waiting to see if Chip "Crackhead" Kelly is going to offer his soul for Mariota. I really don't want the Titans to tether their hopes to a 50/50 bust chance of a QB.

Ogbuehi has insane pass blocking skills. The Bengals once gambled on a tackle with knee problems before that went by the name of Munoz. :p Good pickup, I think.

..... As a Steelers fan, I'm not thrilled with this pick. Not at all.

Also, Broncos trading up... Who do they want?

Their second ILB is replacement level-to-solid and was on the trading block. Damn right we do.
