Possible strategy that could be utilized by the teams; explanation of rule interpretations by refs for people just tuning in; history and background of the coaches and players on the field;

Just because the cameramen do something stupid, doesn't mean the commentators have to follow.

Umm, that would be the director. Unless you think they just have the one camera in the stadium?

Any play that didn't result in an interception would've been superior. If it was me, I would've just rushed it. Yes, it's not fancy, boring, etc, but it works.

I said cameramen which rather blatantly implies that more than one camera was present.

And your answer avoids my point. It's the director who decides on the shots shown, and will be guiding the commentators. Gotta do what the boss says.

In that case - stupid move by the director.

To expand on this: Wilson and Lynch could rush. Have Lynch fake rush, and Wilson make the rushing touchdown. Would've been the smart play.

Isn't that pretty much what everyone was expecting though? Including the defence?

Not really. They've said plenty about it before the game. There are those who love controversies, and those who just love sports. That's why most sport segments have controversies, followed by actual games. When I sit down to watch the game, I don't want the game to be polluted by that crap, and I'm quite certain I'm not the only one. Deflategate is something to talk about when discussing Goodell; it's not something to talk about during the actual game. As a result of their stupidity, I muted whatever the fuck they were talking about during halftime show, and skipped all of the halftime ads. I'm certain that if fans do this repeatedly, they'll learn to talk about the game, during the game.

Because TV networks can't tell if you have muted your TV or not. They don't have figures for that.

So you expected the commentators to not make single note of the controversy that immediately preceded the Superbowl and which directly involved one of the teams playing in it? Well tough shit. Deflategate was, and still is, a prevalent topic that needs to be discussed. It was by no means the focal point of the game broadcast, nor should it have been. But you'd have to be out of your mind to think that it wouldn't be mentioned at least once.

Especially because of all the yelling and swearing.

Loooooots of yelling and swearing...

Late to the party, but Chris Collinsworth's bizarre breakdown of Richard Sherman's "24" motion was hilarious.

"He's indicating that Darrell Revis, who some say is the best corner in the game, just got beat for a touchdown, since his number is 24."

"Actually Chris, seeing as the Seahawks just scored 24 points and he pointed to the scoreboard, I think that's what he's indicating."

Why are people still voting for the Seahawks in the poll? I do hope they know they lost...

And then there's the fact that I am too lazy to take it down right now.

Well after a night of tear soaked sleeping I'm finally awake and coherent. Anyways I'll be the bigger person and congratulate the Pats on a game well played. Can't say I'm disapointed in my Saehawks though given three of their main players were suffering from injuries and the had new guy Chris Matthews who just a day or two ago was working at a footlocker store he played amazingly I'd I'd love to see him go far not just with the Saegawks but in the NFL in general. Also got to give some credit to Malcolm Butler who's amazing interception kept the Hawks one yard away from victory.

It was a great and extremely close game but the Pats pulled in out in the last few minutes and I've got to give them credit. I still fucking hate Tom Brady though nothing's going to change that.

It wasn't a choke. It was a closely contested game and Seattle made a bad tactical error at the end. They were in it the whole way. Leading 24-0 until the 4th quarter and then losing, that's a choke.

Losing a 10-point lead in the second half =/= choking.

That hardly qualifies as a big lead.
