Us NorCal boys can't handle anything colder than Tahoe. I think Kap is going to have to get one of those free hand warmers they're handing out and wrap his plums in it.

Please. After the first five minutes they won't be able to feel their faces.

You think I'm joking. I'm not.

Everybody may as well give up and stay home. The Panthers have adopted Ric Flair as their spirit animal. Nobody stands a chance now.

Broncos/Eagles Super Bowl let's do this.

Eagles? Based on what? A 2nd string QB going to the playoffs on the merits of winning a division filled with teams that would struggle against college teams?

Lol.

Really? Maybe I'm old but I thought this was The Best. Super Bowl halftime show. Ever.

Bruno Mars will be interesting though. In some ways he's sort of like... 21st Century Prince-lite.

Who put a Pats fan as OP? :p

Anyway, here's my WildCard predictions.

Kansas City 24 @ 27 Indianapolis Colts
Tough pick. Going with the Colts because they're home and were here last year, while most Chief players haven't been in the playoffs in a while.

San Diego Chargers 31 @ 24 Cincinatti Bengals
Both teams have been fairly inconsistent throughout the year, although the Chargers are hot and have been on a roll the past few weeks of the season. We all know what a hot 6th Seed Team can do.

San Francisco 49ers 16 @ 13 Greenbay Packers
The 49ers are an all around better team. Rodgers is back, but the GB defense has struggled down the stretch. Despite being on the road in frigid temperatures, I think the 49ers will pull out the ugly win.

New Orleans Saints 28 @ 31 Philadelphia Eagles
The Saints aren't as good outside of the dome, but they'll still show up. It'll be a good game, I think, and the Eagles have been rolling the past few weeks.

Not really. He doesn't run as much as a lot of coaches, but he does run it in crucial situations(where Ingram has been lacking since he became a professional) and does more passing to his running backs than any other coach.

I really am worried about losing Thomas, it might not seem like it if you don't follow the team every single game, but he really has been a major cog in the machine.

Ingram has been slowly improving though(and I emphasize slowly, if I'm not blown away in post-season I'm still a strong advocate for trading him at first opportunity, possibly for a good quality Offensive Tackle, which would be a godsend) and maybe that improvement will carry over. Maybe.

Ingram can block well enough, but as for Thomas, where the Saints have such an advantage with their receivers vs the eagles Secondaries, I just don't see them needing Thomas for those short gains that he is usually used for.

2014 NFL Season

It is now time for the playoffs, that time of the year when Peyton Manning falters. We've had a surprise year. The Panthers are going to the playoffs for the first time in five years, the Texans QB problems persist, the Jaguars won four games....and perhaps the most shocking news of all; The Chiefs had a stellar season. Their off-season acquisition of Alex Smith definitely helped their cause. Cleveland rid themselves of their first year coach and a first round pick in Trent Richardson(let me tell you, the Colts were hoping for better), and the Saints can't win a road game even if the franchise depended on it.

And now, as we near the off-season, who is going to be the biggest free agency acquisition? Which coaches will be terminated? Will Lovie Smith whip his Bucs into shape? Will O'Brien use his first pick on a QB that doesn't throw consecutive pick 6's or will he trade the pick away?

As for me, I believe the Patriots are going all the way. They're my team after all. Grew up with the Pats. Patriots way for the win.

For everyone else, what surprised you this season? Who is winning the Lombardi? Favorite team?
