I hope so. Provided the 12th man on the Broncos team isn't the referees like the last time the Seahawks were at the Super Bowl.

Which is why this Bears fan, who up to this point has supported the Seahawks' playoff run, will be a Bronco fan for the Super Bowl. People like Sherman epitomize one of the major problems in all levels of football: a lack of sportsmanship.

We'll see how good the LOB is against a top 5 QB of all time.

After he patted Crabtree in the ass and talked shit to him following the final play?Riflemoor wrote:Okay, hey, hey, hey, let's talk about sportsmanship. Sherman went to shake Crabtree's hand and then Crabtree facemasked him. The two had been on-and-off rivals ever since a charity event back in Arizona where they almost got into a fight. Now I will agree that it still doesn't justify Sherman's reaction and I would have infinitely greater respect for him had he taken the high road, but stop pretending that Crabtree is not at fault here.

lolwut
Champ Bailey is not the best CB of all time. You could definitely make a case for Ronnie Lott or Deion Sanders sooner than Bailey. I put Bailey on the same rank as, say, Ronde Barber, definitely one of the best in the league for most of his career, but not the greatest of all time.

I don't know if it's necessarily a problem. I don't like people who lack sportsmanship, but I'm glad there are people like that in the league. I don't like Richard Sherman, but I'm glad he's in the NFL and I'm glad he expresses his shitty personality so often because it makes the game more entertaining. Having a villain to root against is important.
That's part of the reason why I miss T.O. It was completely classless, but that whole incident with the Dallas star and the brawl that ensued afterwards was awesome. Same with Randy Moss and his antics. As a Packer fan, I hated the guy, but I miss him too.

I'm not glad people like him are/were in the NFL. There's plenty of entertainment without having people act in an unsportsmanlike manner. Even looking just at the Seahawks, Russell Willson and Marshawn Lynch and their lockdown defense are plenty of entertainment.
Unsportsmanlike conduct, to me, is not good entertainment; rather, it distracts from good entertainment. The top story today should be the excellent effort put forward by the Seahawks' defense, but instead we get to see Richard Sherman be an ass. I find nothing entertaining about watching someone throw a victory in the opposing team's face and talk about how great he is.
Again, I'm a Chicago Bears fan. None of this affects my team one way or another. They're watching the games at home.

I understand your point, and it makes perfect sense, but I just disagree. For me, I like the added storylines. A game of football alone doesn't necessarily do it for me. It's why I don't watch Division 3 college football, I don't know the stories behind the teams and players. The next time Seattle and San Francisco play, though, you better believe I'll be tuning in to see how it all plays out.
Obviously you can still have interesting storylines while still being respectful to each other(Bears/Packers, Brady/Manning), but having a villain always makes it more interesting for me.
