i just noticed this nation was founded in antiquity, while the other one i brought back from the dead lists its founding as somewhere in 04, where is the cutoff?

No, if you were refounded recently it shows your refounded date, rather than the original date founded.

Then why doesn't my account say I was founded last month since I got deleted on accident, but was restored.

There was a brief window when nations entering this forum for the first time who (a) had been created before we started tracking nation birthdays, and (b) had been deleted and re-founded at least once, were given their refounding date as "Founded." I can correct anyone affected by this, as I've just done with Ravea.

No, if you were refounded recently it shows your refounded date, rather than the original date founded.

Like [violet] said, your nation already had a birthday in the birthday field. Ravea's didn't so when it was refounded, it received that date as its birthday.

The cut off was at some point during June 2003. I think I was founded 12 June 2003, but I've seen other June nations with their dates listed.
