Monarchy doesn't necessarily contradict democracy. Especially in a constitutional monarchy.

I believe in a Constitutional Monarchy, but one where the Royal Family does have more power over the nation than the government itself has.

Although I do agree that this could have some bad points if their was a bad monarch.

I like a constitutional monarchy most of the time. When we have Labour governments I'm pro-absolute Monarchy. For reasons of not wanting to be poor as sin.
Read "A Man For All Seasons". That explains most of what I believe in. Except the Catholic bits.

Outside of here I do lead a rather unusual and colourful life. As a Spinster.

I just want a nice man with a good accent and the manners of a Royal.

British, a really cliché G in LGBTQ gentleman a lot of the time.

Which is where the division of powers between institutions comes in. An elected parliament can pass a law appointing a regent or forcing a monarch to abdicate if the monarch is unable, or unwilling, to responsibly fulfil his or her obligations.

In an executive constitutional monarchy it's almost like a good blend between monarchism and republicanism.

Is monarchism cost-worthy?

If I may ask, what exactly are the distinctions between monarchy and a dictatorship?

I mean, the ideological foundations and justifications are different, but functionally, they are the same.

An unaccountable leader, supposedly kept in check from corruption by the threat of revolution.

It is a matter of theory- Dictators are elected and then keep power via force. The Monarchy is crowned.

While there is quite frankly no distinction between absolute monarchy and dictatorship, there are plenty of distinctions between constitutional and Constitutional Executive Monarchies.....That is The monarch is limited in power.

Not at all.

The leader is highly accountable in Constitutional and Constitutional Executive Monarchy.

There is no inherent elitism in monarchy.

Having people become at least celebrities and at most rulers of the land on basis of their family of birth, as well as saying that a person is more capable of ruling over people than the people are of ruling over themselves because of said persons bloodline rings heavily of elitism to me.

Bring back the Batavian Republic. Also, guillotines.

But seriously, why support a monarchy?

The very idea that an unelected leader is accountable seems, to me, a preposterous idea.

Granted, an elected leader I still find somewhat unaccountable.
But less so than a King.
