Mikhail Kalashnikov, inventor of the Automat Kalashnikov Model 47, has passed away at the age of 94. A symbol of defiance and the determination of the Soviet citizen, he was a man of honor. the impact his invention has had on the history of the modern world cannot be understated.

Well, it's sad to hear this as I'm sure he had a few designs left in him, but hey, he lived a nice long life filled with interesting inventions.
Can't say the same for those who found themselves on the other side of his rifle, though.
