Japan already had the second largest Navy in the region without these plans. They can take care of themselves.

Really?
The Chinese army is ill-trained and it would take massive casualties to occupy Japan, haha.

So? China falls and the whole world will fall, economically speaking. Then all becomes a shithole, and all that happened before WW2 thanks to the great depression will happen again. All of this has nothing to do with China's military power.

If China's economy will suffer severly they can't afford these ambitious modernization programs. Isn't it logical?

Then Japan will be superior.

Actually Japan itself. They usually buy licenses from Western countries and then produce equipment locally. But it isn't the case always.

US and EU has made some reforms since last crisis. China is depending mostly on export and they have pretty much planned economy. China will take bigger hit but US and EU can live trough it.

Everyone will live through it, but no economy will avoid a depression, or recession, if China collapses. They're the 2nd largest economy, they invest huge amounts in the 3rd world, and they make almost everything the 1st world consumes.

Their Pacific Fleet is small compared to Japan but they have 10 active nuclear submarines so I dunno either.

And they also have major investments in the more developed countries.

I think the US Government would care if China attacked US bases abroad. They probably wouldn't like that.
