Don't many different cultures and ethnic groups have their own concept of what we would call Santa?

It seems like that each culture's Santa is going to reflect that culture and its people.


So what's wrong with white people having a white Santa, black people having a black Santa, Asians having an Asian Santa, and Turks having a Turkish Santa?

A non-Anatolian Santa is simply inaccurate and not canon.

The idea of a benevolent gift giver has been around before St. Nicholas, Santa, on the other hand, can be traced back to Sinterklaas, which is, in turn, a Dutch representation of St. Nick.

Because he's a European legend... and anyone else is engaging in a form of inter-continental/cross-cultural copyrights violation when they try to appropriate it...

there are the legitimate Western white Santa Clauses... and then there are the imitators who want to claim to be the real thing...

Maybe we should just make there be 196 different Santas. One for each country in the world. It's extremely racist, but then again, it's not any more racist than some attempts to "stop racism." Just saying.

We should simply keep Santa white.

Any particular cultural group who hates this can come up with a new character if they want...

corrupting Santa and his European legacy and distinct artistic image should not be encouraged.
