Saint Nicholas was a historical figure in the early church.

Santa Claus is based on him, but very very loosely. At this point Santa is more of a fictional character than a representation of the historical Saint Nicholas. As such, I think that if the idea of him being depicted as black (he's already depicted as a big fat guy who wears a ridiculous red and white suit and silly hat) pisses you off, you're probably a racist.

If you were genuinely irritated because of historical inaccuracy, the general way that Santa Claus, or "Old Saint Nick" is portrayed should already annoy you.

Its a painting of what he should look like according to a bunch of numbers that were gathered from his skull...but then if you know even the extreme amount of variation that can go on between siblings and even twins (who are same genetically but manifest different physically), there is no way to know what he looked like for sure.
