It's generally considered true that 10% of people all over are gay.

Where did you get that statistic?

Population of India = 1.237 billion, gays = 10%, males = 50%, (1.237 billion/2)/10=0.06185 billion = 62 million (0 dp)

The commonly accepted statistic by researchers is that 5-10% of the global population is gay, though it is the subject of some scholarly debate.

Not necessarily gay, though 10% is well within the confidence is well within recorded averages for the expected percentage of the world population that belongs to the LGBTQI community.

The often proclaimed 10% statistic is incorrect. The actual statistic is closed to 1.4-1.7% gay, and about 1.8% bisexual (In America)

That's how many come out.

If I lived in one of many places in America, I would not come out. 10% is a scientific estimate of how many actually are, not how many admit it.

Keep in mind the confounding effects of asking people to self-identify, as those surveys do.

Some people are so deeply closeted that they won't even acknowledge their orientation in an anonymous survey.

So 10% true heterosexuals? Assuming that sexuality is in the form of a bellcurve

It's logically fallacious to assume someone is gay, and to call them closeted if they deny it. Sexual Identity, is self ascribed.
