I always love it when H. L. Mencken has something to say on a subject: http://healthfully.org/am/id5.html

Here's a fun fact: If you are living in Britain, it is possible at least one molecule of water you have ever drunk has been through the bladder of Oliver Cromwell. Cholera was pretty abundant in London before modern, scientifically-verified, medicine existed, why hasn't water got memory of that, Hepatitis or urine?

But-but- homeopathy is intrinsically beneficial and there's no way it can do something bad because of quantum magnetics!

Or something like that, right?

Tell you what Homeopaths, we'll ban homeopathy until you people manage to kill the chief scientist of the UK with homeopathic poison.
We'll call it a blind study on the veracity of homeopathy.

Should be simple, right?

There is an out of control trolley speeding towards Jeremy Bentham, who is tied to the track. You can pull the lever to cause the trolley to switch tracks, but on the other track is Immanuel Kant. Bentham is clutching the only copy in the universe of The Critique of Pure Reason. Kant is clutching the only copy in the universe of The Principles of Moral Legislation. Both men are shouting at you that they have recently started to reconsider their ethical stances.

I'm not sure which assertion is more ludicrous: the assertion that homeopathy could possibly work, or that NaturalNews is a valid source.

Well, when I first heard of homeopathy before I looked into it at all, I didn't think it was complete horseshit. (I.E, before I actually knew what homeopathy claimed about anything)

The first time I heard of "Naturalnews" I immediately knew.

I forgot something worse, fecal matter, my turds splash into water, why doesn't water have memory of that?
If water has memory, there is no use in recycling it.

I don't like using thought-ending clichés, but alternative medicine as a subject can be encapsulated by: if it works, it's considered medicine.

It's all bullshit and anybody with credibility knows it.

If something works, then it is actual medicine, not this hippie tree hugger bullshit.

Natural medicine (like homoeopathy, herbalism, Ayurveda, reflexology, Reiki, and Traditional Chinese Medicine) is the only "actual medicine".

"Evidence" is not important. What is important is that natural medicine heals me, and can heal the world.

Maybe you misread his post... he said that something does work, then it's actual medicine. Not if something can occasionally help with some minor ailments (and no, homeopathy can't do that, but some of what you mentioned can).
