Ah, I can't help but put forth a small reply before bed. Too much anti-faith in this thread already.

Santa is real but not everything pop culture and propaganda says about Santa is true. Santa does give gifts to those who are worthy and he has high standards. My personal belief is that only a small percentage of the population actually gets gifts from him since his standards are higher than people expect. People DO get gifts from Santa but.....some parents of unworthy children fake it so their children think they are getting gifts from Santa. That is where the anti-Santa myth comes from.

Another thing is that Santa is a supernatural being that is not bound by the laws of "science" or "physics" as some call it. My personal opinion is that his power comes from God, and with God anything is possible. I believe that he may even have the ability to manipulate the memories of certain parents, such as planting false memories of buying a toy Santa gives a worthy child. No science can disprove Santa because he is above science.

Remember you must have FAITH in Santa. By his own doing you will never get 100% proof of his existence.

I'd say he's a ghost. He haunts Christmas and spreads an aura of terror, causing mass hysteria as people feel they must give gifts to each other to ward off the cold hand of Claus.
This aura leaves a horrid miasma in its wake which chokes the senses forcing many to cut down heavily scented pine trees to combat the creeping stench in their homes.
Those alone at Christmas are the most effected, with no-one to share gifts, they experience the crushing fears of total loneliness.

Move the position of exactly one of the above letters and you get the REAL first name of Santa Claus (and his real identity)... Hint: it is a name you have heard before and it ends with a consonant...

Part 2

Now that you have his real first name... you can get his last name too. Look closely at this word:

C-L-A-U-S

Now focus on the fourth letter above. How do you switch that letter with a consonant letter and still keep almost the exact same pronunciation for the word above?

Part 3

Congratulations.

Next time someone talks to you about Santa Claus. You get to smile smugly and understand that you are one of the few who knows the true identity, real first name, and real last name of the being known as Santa Claus.
