Is this actually a thing that is being discussed?
Am I dreaming?

But anyway, no. No Santa.

Santa is real but not everything pop culture and propaganda says about Santa is true. Santa does give gifts to those who are worthy and he has high standards. My personal belief is that only a small percentage of the population actually gets gifts from him since his standards are higher than people expect. People DO get gifts from Santa but.....some parents of unworthy children fake it so their children think they are getting gifts from Santa. That is where the anti-Santa myth comes from.

Another thing is that Santa is a supernatural being that is not bound by the laws of "science" or "physics" as some call it. My personal opinion is that his power comes from God, and with God anything is possible. I believe that he may even have the ability to manipulate the memories of certain parents, such as planting false memories of buying a toy Santa gives a worthy child. No science can disprove Santa because he is above science.

Remember you must have FAITH in Santa. By his own doing you will never get 100% proof of his existence.

]Yeah, this argument is basically "Santa is real because magic." I call bullshit.

How is that a less valid argument? Of course, Liberal Science would have you believe that everything must follow it's rules but that is not the case. Santa is real and he uses supernatural powers. Not everything media says about him is true though.

This is some excellent satire.

Once again, having a different or unpopular opinion is not satire, trolling or whatever you want to call it. Just because somebody disagrees with you does not mean they are trolls. That is just a general insult to shut down debate.

By that logic ANYTHING can be real. From Santa to Big Foot to the Lochness Monster to Bugs Bunny to Rainbow Dash to Superman to- are you seeing the problem with that logic? Like, have I demonstrated how saying "It works because it's outside the rulez, man!" is such a flawed argument? Once you remove the rules, all things become permissible. Including deliberately fictional characters.

I called it satire because it has all the hallmarks of satire. If it is not, then please, by all means, provide empirical proof that Santa does indeed exist. If not, then you're all out of luck, friendo.

St. Nick was the patron saint of sailors, merchants, archers, thieves, children, pawnbrokers and students. He is incredibly popular in Eastern Orthodox Churches.
The man passed on, but his mythology, the benevolence, and generosity, were embraced, and were not forgotten.
Eventually I believe he was combined with other similar holiday figures (all with white beards surprisingly enough) from across Europe by the various European immigrants that came to America. Store owners started using this character around Christmas. Once the poem "a visit from St. Nick" was published, and became a sensation. His image was embraced, and popularized by common folk, and rich folk alike.
During the Industrial age, he was sort of a reverse robber baron, who gave instead of taking. That image of the "Giver Baron" with the beard and big belly, became a favorite character.

Santa Claus himself, I'm sad to say, isn't real, St. Nick, was. The place Santa holds in the hearts of kids & adults, the generosity, love, and wonder he represents, is real. This is why so many parents have kept up the Santa tradition, and watch Television specials about him with their kids.

In a way, when you put the present under the tree, you ARE Santa.

No, not actually. Unlike Superman millions believe Santa is a real living person and Saint Nicholas was a real person. Even Wikipedia has an article on him. Santa isn't something a comic book writer made up. He is a historical figure with centuries of varied folklore to back him up and millions of followers.
