How utterly self-absorbed do you have to be to think that a deal like this was manufactured to distract from a domestic political issue in one country?! The mind boggles.

Why would he care anyway? He isn't up for re-election.

The GOP already lost the second they committed themselves to shutting down the gov. Obama could kill a baby on national TV and it would still be too late for them to lose.

President Obama gave a late night briefing to the press, but details on the deal remain largely unknown except for the fact that if Iran complies to whatever the world powers are asking, they will be given access to $4.2 billion in foreign exchange. This may be a step in the right direction for a safer world, but I believe that many of us will be disappointed once the details come out. On the other hand, if Obama performed an abortion on national TV that could only increase the single women votes.

Whether you will admit it or not, the Republican's have a serious chance of taking control of the Senate in 2014, and this deal is Obama's distraction from the policies that may lead to that happening.

With all the Muslims in Israel, and the fact that Israel is home to countless Islamic holy places, and that Israel has its own nukes, and that all of Israel's supporting powers are nuclear-armed, no. Iran would most likely not "use them to blow up Israel" if it did acquire nuclear weapons. And it's not like they would acquire weapons either, considering the intrusive inspections by international groups.

Israel itself is responsible for nuclear proliferation as well, and it actively seeks nuclear weapons. Iran actually signed the NPT, unlike Israel. So let's stop treating Israel like some white knight hero we have to protect at all costs.
