Cruel and unusual punishment is illegal.

That's a coincidence.

My idea was inspired by true events.
For so long, Mankind has been plagued by division. Division by culture, creed, skin color, religion and nationality. These very divisions have been the cause of most human conflicts. But in the age of globalism, we can finally have that chance to implement a world government where all human beings are seen as equals. Isn't that what everyone wants? World peace? I do. You should support that too. It may not end all conflicts, but the reductions of Man on Man violence will be at an all time low when the entire planet gets administered by one governing body.

Most death row inmates are such due to very serious crimes and very frequently possess psychological or personality disorders. Do you really want an anti-social sociopath, who are inclined towards manipulation and abuse at best, and serial rape and murder at worst, to be given combat training, armed with military grade weaponry, and placed in a position of immence authority and power over others, including and not limited to life and death?

There's a reason military members must undergo psych evals. No thank you.

EDIT: The above is based purely on the title. In your OP, are you suggesting we strap bombs to convicts and send them out to die? Again, I must point out, to a sociopath, what in gods name would stop them from just turning around and blowing themselves up on their "allies"? Either way you slice it, this is a terrible idea.

You are a damn fool , for one that is still wasting resources and what makes the solders lives honorable, you do realize some people join the military to legally kill smarter than the average criminal but a criminal none the less.

We get these men strapped on with IED's on the battlefield and have them to simply just die to scare off whatever enemy in whatever bloody conflict we're getting our noses in these days These inmates make good cannon fodder. You can't waste good resources like this. Capital Punishment must be like this for now on. I think using inmates as pawns will save more honorable lives of soldiers. Lethal Injection is a waste.

Ethical? Not quite. Reasonable? Yes.

Would you support this?

Yes, many people born in labour camps would gladly volunteer for a penal battalion.

I was making a joke of the apparent enthusiasm of Korean propaganda subjects.
And was referring to generally strapping themselves with explosives to kill targets, not the unit in which people are drawn from for this purpose.

My theory is that when a person enters the Piagets formal operational stage it manifests as a period of moral absolutism and a sense of superiority caused by a failure to understand everyone else has already experienced their own awakening.

Ha! The U.S had the Mafia work with them in W.W II. Morals only matter to the living. I'd do it, along with poisoning their water supply and carpet bombing.
