Erm, people do care about Kazakhstan quite a bit. The country counterbalances the interest of US, Russia and China in Central Asia. It's the leading regional power in space research. It has a good treaty system, and is the go to nation for people in Central Asia. So the tens of millions of people living in Central Asia, as well as the ten million living in Belarus, do care.

You're giving Kazakhstan too much credit.

Last I checked, that count was at Zero.

Ever since this referendum has started things escalated even more, I believe war in imminent. Ukraine will be forced into protecting itself.

Oh god, I don'even know man, what can we do

We can't have this keep escalating, we (As in the EU or NATO or whatever contry) can't just keep pussy footing about these 'sanctions', but we can't and shouldn't engage, however if this continues we have to do something, Ukraine can't get itself out of this if Russia leans on them

From what I can tell, the shootouts and subsequent deaths were caused by Pro-Russian and ethnic Russian groups advancing on the buildings, not the other way around.

Personally, I am disappointed at Putin for settling for Crimea. I was really hoping that he would liberate the entirety of the Ukraine and restore the legitimate president, Viktor Yanukovych, back into power. Of course the EU and the US would have gotten involved, but, if we have learned anything from Syria, it's that their threats are just threats, with no one actually going to respond.

Nobody will go to war with Russia. Russia has three things; Oil (gas too), Arms Manufacturing and a s**t load of tanks/aircraft. Oil is the one battleground that the world, let alone the EU, wants to fight on; it would be a repeat of the 1973 oil crisis, the world economy would plummet no just west.
