Were it up to me domestic abuse wouldn't necessarily be a crime unless there was serious injury, but a court order would be obtained upon a report being filed (Preferably this would be a semi-automatic process.) demanding both persons participate in therapy.
Failing to attend the therapy as the accused party would be the crime.

My main reason to defend the Republic is how it is dehumanizing and discriminatory against the people in royal families.

It's the only compelling reason I've found provided the monarch is purely symbolic, and it's a very compelling reason.

By it being symbolic, they can't just change the system if it is their wish.

But for why would I want to pass to society the idea that somehow for an entirely arbitrary reason perpetuated by just another fuck up of human society as an indirect consequence of the Neolithic (of the same kinds that created slavery, patriarchy or Abrahamic religions) my family is to be exposed in a de facto cage as symbol of some ridiculous backward power structure mostly phased out (and for our good) and imperialistic attitudes of the past about manifesting our group as a special given from Heaven in clear stark distinction to the other less mighty foreigners? And I have no choice but to accept it as it is?

I can't see how it would ever be argued to be beautiful or good.
