Given that males would no longer be necessary for reproduction, should society consider removing the male gender?
As I am myself male, I am cognizant of the fact that the male gender does have the inherent tendency of masculinity. The concept of masculinity has several problematic tendencies such as aggression and the disguising of emotion. This combined with the superior average strength of males has lead to a patriarchal society. This has lead to oppression of women, with men being statistically the primary perpetrators of crimes like domestic violence, and women suffer harassment in filling men's role. This isn't to say that all men act like this, and many males do try to alleviate this problem. However, we should attempt a preventative solution and try to stop this once and for all.
Since the primary purpose of sexual distinction between organisms is reproductions, and humans have superseded that purposes, sex is no longer a necessity. At the same time, humanity should focus on making society as best as possible. The female gender does not have these negative traits such as aggression, thus society would function better.
