Well then I apologize. I'll own my mistake. But my point still stands. Two sexes. Choose one or the other of your own free will. Go to the bathroom which corresponds to your current physical sex. If you were comfortable enough to have a sex change then go to the bathroom of which you changed to. Stalls are present in almost every bathroom. No one has to know your business. You've accepted who you are and the majority of people will not bother you. Don't ask for special treatment because you are different.

So don't be up in everyone's faces and I'm sure people will hardly tell the difference if you are transgender. Plus if I go to the bathroom honestly the most pressing issue is whether or not to completely destroy it when I go to take a dump. If people are really concerned whether or not that someone in there is transgendered well that just proves they're insecure about themselves. Get in, mind your own business, do your thing, get out. If everyone lives by that we're all fine and this frankly stupid argument of whether there should be gender-neutral bathrooms, goes away.

And you've not even addressed the reason for why sex makes sense to you as a suitable variable to use for bathroom segregation, and before that, why bathrooms even need to be segregated in the first place.

Gender being what a person self-identifies as... what relevancy are their chromosomes to their gender?

Chromosomes determine your physical sex/gender. I don't know how anyone else was raised but I always thought the two were interchangeable and that's how I meant it. I don't buy into the whole homosexuality, bisexuality, asexuality, etc. is genetic thing, though I don't think its necessarily a choice either. Your physical gender and how you choose to identify yourself are different and a choice each individual can make.

Gender is nothing more than what a person identifies as. That means no one is born with a gender. Gender development begins a few years after birth, which really just goes to show, gender is what a person identifies as.

You appear to be assuming both that somehow it is okay for men to here people using a bathroom as it was intended to be used while not okay for women and that apparently women are incapable of defecating.
