To compare it openly (I did it in secrecy for fears of bullying or whatnot) where I live is something mildly socially acceptable (even though worthy of ridicule for many) even for straight guys. Not more inappropriate than mere flirting. They can deny it as they well much want. Open, anonymous, mild homoeroticism is something natural and happens in a fuckton of other human societies.

Our biology is the way it is. It may be a genital and a mind combining, an average genital and an ambiguous mind, genitals that do not fit with the minds of their bodies, and ambiguous genitals.

What is problematized here is the specific social codes we assign over these things because they arbitrarily became taboos and serious business, that became a mark used to oppress and discriminate against people making their lives and conditions worthy shit in their opinions what gives a hell lot of problems to them, just because we don't want to change our attitudes because we were socialized in a way that we believe to be untouchable by circular logic such as appeal to nature (but we were all created by it in the first place) or appeal to tradition (but a tradition that causes inherent social and individual harm to the point of actual physical violence, suicides and murders can't be worthy it).

The roles are arbitrarily assigned to the sexes, therefore homemaker is arbitrarily attributed to women in the WASP-induced culture when men could do it equally well. Also, your sex doesn't necessarily determine your gender, as the existence of transgender people like Grenartia and Threzlidun should prove to you. Also,, your gender's pretty much static once it's formed.
