Funny thing is, of the current socialist countries in South America, only Argentina and Ecuador seem to be doing well. Relations are better, but the FSLN is still one of the larger political parties in the country and they aren't likely to forget the US's backing of the Somoza regime and Regan's subsequent backing of the Contras. They're on decent terms with the US, but I'd hardly call them American Supported. And as for reactionary right leaning, the FSLN remains the dominate political party, and if you know anything about them you would know that they are not right leaning.
