The windows are by default supposed to automatically maximize to fully use up any screen real estate available, which is balanced between all open windows, but I resized them to show off my transparent terminal.

Also, I never understood the use of desktop icons or docks.

And yes, the script in the left is the configuration script for this appearance. In which contains the configuration for the nifty widgets I coded into the bottom right (and yes, you can click/right click/middle click/scroll over each of them for different actions).

Steam sucks, but I had to get it to play Civ V.
It's like when you get a brand new phone, but it has four pages of useless uninstallable apps. It sucks.

I like Steam. When I first got it I was rather annoyed by it, but then after a while you realise you can buy games off it and DLC's align themselves with the actual game folder properly.

If you've ever played HOI3 and then tried to get the DLC's without steam you will understand the confusion involved.

Also, you have the steam workshop, which basically installs mods for you almost immediately.
